Rebecca Phillipson

I am hoping soon to be offering residential courses at our beautiful family house set in two and a half acres of landscaped grounds in the Isle of Wight. The island is said to have the best light in the whole of the UK and 10% of its land is owned by the National Trust. On these courses students will have the opportunity to do some of the following:

  • Photograph stunning coastal landscapes
  • Visit the home of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, now a museum and gallery showing top quality photo exhibitions. www.Dimbola.co.uk
  • Learn studio photography in a well equipped photographic studio
  • Photograph tigers up close at the Isle of Wight zoo
  • Practice nature and macro photography in the grounds
  • Other opportunities depending on the choices of your group

Following two completely unrelated floods, the house has had to be extensively renovated twice in the last three years, which has made the running of courses not possible. This summer, while I have not planned anything formally, I am taking bookings for the Granary, the self catering annexe to the property. This can be tailored to your needs, to include photographic tuition; photographic trips or use of the white studio.
